Help Stop Rogers and Shaw from taking control of Telecom Sector
It appears that Rogers and Shaw, the two biggest Telecom providers in Canada have been talking to one another behind closed doors. Open Media have been doing the best they can to inform Canadaiands of what is happenig here and have also created a petition. I have embeded the petition below for you to fire in your details, sending a letter to register your discomfort with this deal.
Whilst in a tea house I noticed that the Steve Jobs Biography was sat on the book shelf. I had a spare ten minutes, so read the introduction. I turned to the quote above. I am very familiar with this and find it is very inspirational.

In everything we do, we seek happiness. Or at least what we think will bring happiness.
But this goal can often get us into trouble. It’s how you find yourself in a career that doesn’t represent you, consuming things lacking real value, and living a life that misses its impact on the world.

Yes, awesome – they deliver the tree, in a pot, to your door and then pick it up when you’re done. I was made aware this morning via an email from the dogwood initiative,of just how many tankers are leaving Vancouver containing Oil. It is a staggering amount. Dogwood state that in 2010 the Kinder Morgan Pipeline we’re sending out 71 tankers a year. These ships contain crude oil from the tar sands. The sad part is, they want to continue to increase these numbers to 288 tankers a year!
